Follow the steps beneath to successfully register for Erasmus Volley.
Step 1: Open practices
To register for Erasmus Volley, you first need to sign up for our open practices. You can register via this link https://join.erasmusvolley.nl/ ('sign up for open training sessions') as soon as the exact dates are announced; make sure to keep an eye on our Instagram page @erasmusvolley for updates. The training sessions usually take place at the end of August and the beginning of September, and during these sessions, you’ll play with other potential new members at an appropriate level. During the training, our technical committee will assess your level and, based on that, determine if there is a spot for you in a team.
After each open practice, a large part of the club heads to our regular pub, Pardoen (Oude Haven). It’s definitely fun to join us there, as it gives you the chance to show that you fit well with the club, not only on the court but also off it!
Step 2: Registration
After attending an open training session, you can decide if you really want to join our association. Once you've made the decision to become a member, you can officially register via https://join.erasmusvolley.nl/ ('register for membership'). You can do this on the evening of your open training, or you can keep the link and sign up a few days later.
Step 3: Wait
After the open training sessions, the technical committee will start working on the team division. At that point, they will look at current members and their level, as well as all the new members. They will then create a WhatsApp group for each team. This will also serve as confirmation that you have become a member of Erasmus Volley. You will soon receive all the necessary information to help you feel at home within our club.
If you are not initially selected for a team, you will receive an email with the option to be placed on a waiting list. This means that if someone decides to leave the club, you may be asked to take their spot.
If you have any further questions about the open practices or the team divisions, please mail [email protected].
